Policies and Guidelines
Following are a list of policies regarding booking, altering, or cancelling appointments.
Booking an Appointment
Appointments may be booked online, by email, by messenger, or by phone or text. If you search online and can’t find an availability you need, text or call 574-269-4957 to see if I can fit you in. Online booking will not allow bookings less than 48 hours in advance so a phone call will be necessary for last minute options. If you call and get the voicemail, please leave a message and I will call back at my next break.
I understand that things come up from time to time that will require an appointment to be rescheduled or postponed. I have always prided myself on being very flexible in this area. However, there are only so many hours in a week and I need to keep those hours full in order to fulfill the needs of my family. Any cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment time. This will allow me the opportunity to try and fill your time slot. If you know sooner than 48 hours, that is even more appreciated. Any cancellations made after this 48 hour cutoff will result in a minimum $25 charge added to your next appointment.
A hair salon is bound by very tight time constraints. Arriving too early can cause the client in the chair to feel as if the stylist must rush now with their hair. Arriving late could cause the stylist to run late with the rest of her clients for the day. In order to keep the schedule moving as fluid as possible we ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time and no more than 15 minutes after. Arriving 15 minutes or more late will require a shortened service and might require the appointment to be rescheduled for another time. If the appointment must be rescheduled, the late cancel fee will be charged at the next appointment.
Following are a list of policies regarding the salon premesis.
Food and Beverages
I try my best to keep bottled water on hand for my clients. I am working on adding a coffee/tea option soon! If you would like to bring in your own beverages or snacks for your appointment, feel free! (I like Mountain Dew or Cherry Vanilla Pepsi) 😉
Children in the Salon
While I strive to keep a family friendly environment, welcoming guests of all ages, I do ask that if you are bringing children to the salon that you also provide proper supervision. If you’re child will sit and read, or play nicely I have no issues with them coming to your appointment. However, if they are younger or have a hard time staying out of mischief, I do ask that you find child care for your appointment. This request is for the safety of your child as the salon is filled with hot and sharp instruments that can be dangerous to a curious child. We also want to respect the relaxtion of other guests and the space of my co-workers.
Pets in the Salon
While we understand that our pets are family, there are a few reasons why we have a no-pet policy in the salon. Many people are allergic to animals or to dust that is often transported on animals. Others have a fear of dogs and the presence of one might cause undue anxiety when they are paying for a relaxing experience. In addition, there are certain sanitary guidelines that a salon must legally uphold to be compliant with state regulations. So, while we love hearing stories about your precious pets, please leave them at home for your appointment time.
Following are a list of policies regarding services and products offered at the salon.
The temptation to save a few bucks and color your hair at home is one shared by many. If you attempt to color your own hair, or have a friend or family member color your hair, or you get it colored at another hair salon, and you get less than desirable results you will likely find yourself needing a color correction. This may involve repair treatments, deep conditioners, colors, or lighteners. The base price for any color correction is $80 per hour, and will vary greatly depending on the actual process and treatments required. Hair cut and any treatments necessary will be an additional charge. A consultation will help determine the course of action and costs involved but a final price will not be known until the end of the service. If multiple visits are required, each visit will be charged separately and payment is required at the end of each visit.
A gift certificate to the salon is a great way to spoil the ones you love! Gift certificates purchased for a specific dollar amount may be used toward any service or product offered by Anointed Beauty at time of redemption. Gift certificates purchased for a specific service must be used for that service unless special permission is granted. If a service is discontinued that you have an active gift certificate for, then it will be substituted for another agreed upon service of equal value. All gift certificates expire 6 months from the purchase date. All gift certificate sales are final, non-transferrable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.
All product sales are final and cannot be exchanged or returned. Most products are available for trial in the salon. Product needs can be thoroughly discussed prior to making your purchase decisions. The only exception is if a product is sold and the pump malfunctions within the first 7 days an exchange will be permitted for the same product.
